We started Kigali Braids because we wanted a studio that respected hair, time and money. Too many women in Kigali were driving to one place for braids, another for nails, and somewhere else entirely for their wedding day — paying premium prices for unclear results. So we built one calm space in Gikondo where you can book a knotless install, a gel manicure and a bridal trial without ever leaving the chair.
Our stylists are trained in protective styling for the full range of African hair textures. Knotless braids, butterfly locs, Marley twists and boho French curls are installed with low tension to protect your edges, and we always start with a clean, conditioned base — which is why deep conditioning and scalp treatments are part of our menu, not an afterthought. For weaves and wigs we work with quality human-hair bundles and HD lace frontals so installs lie flat and look natural under Kigali light.
Aftercare matters as much as the install. We send every client home knowing how to wrap braids at night, how often to oil the scalp, and when to come back for a refresh so a style ages well instead of frizzing out in two weeks. The same care goes into nails and bridal: gel that doesn't lift, acrylics shaped to your hands, and a bridal trial weeks ahead so there are zero surprises on the morning of the wedding.

Prices are transparent and published. Braids range from 35,000 RWF (cornrows) to 110,000 RWF (bone straight braids); gel manicures are 10,000 RWF, classic pedicures 15,000 RWF, and the full Bridal Package is 350,000 RWF with a 60,000 RWF trial. Full menu is on our services page.
